Pink fused alumina
Pink Fused Alumina powder or Ruby Alumina powder is made by aluminium oxide powder, which is electrically fused at high-temperature adding appropriate amount of chromium oxide, etc. It is pink or ruby. Its hardness is similar to White Aluminium Oxide, but its toughness is higher than that of WFA.
The abrasive tools made by PA or RA have good durability and the workpieces have high smooth finish. It is suitable for precision grinding of the measuring tools, machine tool main spindle, instrument parts, thread workpieces and sample plate,etc.
Pink fused alumina chromium corundum Application:
1. As a sandblasting abrasive
Chrome corundum has high hardness, good toughness and strong grinding ability, making it an ideal sandblasting abrasive. It is suitable for sandblasting of hardware, stainless steel, high carbon steel, high speed steel and other metals, especially for sandblasting thin-walled workpieces. The effect is remarkable, the workpiece is not easy to change color, and the finish after processing is high. This characteristic makes chrome corundum widely used in the pretreatment stage of metal casting, such as removing oxide scale, rust layer or old coating on the metal surface.
2. Manufacturing high-precision grinding tools
Abrasive tools made of chrome corundum have sharp grinding edges, low heat generation, high grinding ratio, and less adhesion during use. These characteristics enable chrome corundum abrasive tools to significantly improve processing efficiency and quality in the finishing stage of metal parts after casting, such as grinding and polishing.
