Sanding Process and Purpose
Rough Sanding: Removes old paint layer, coarsely sands putty, sands steel plate substrate (P60, P80)
Medium Sanding: Sands feathered edges, finely sands putty, sands aluminum plate, fiberglass (P120, P240)
Fine Sanding: Sands putty, finely sands primer and old paint layer (P320, P400)
Fine Sanding: Sands intermediate coat paint, fine sanding of old paint layer before applying topcoat (P320, P400)
