| 240-800# | This grit is for coarse grinding of metal, plastic, and electronic circuit parts or products. |
| 1000-2000# | For fine grinding of metal, plastic, and electronic circuit parts or products; it's a secondary grinding process after coarse grinding. |
| 2000-5000# | For fine grinding of metal, plastic, and electronic circuit parts or products; it's the third step in the grinding process. |
The smaller the number, the coarser the grit and the sharper the grinding; the larger the number, the finer the grit and the more refined the grinding.
Choose according to specific purpose
Sanding Automotive Paint/Putty
Use 80-180 grit for touch-ups with putty; 320-400 grit for removing old paint and feathering;
600-800 grit for intermediate primer sanding; 1000-2000 grit or higher for pre-polishing of the topcoat.
Sanding Metal (Rust Removal, Polishing)
Use 80-120 grit for rough rust removal;
180-400 grit for fine rust removal and leveling;
for a mirror finish, start with 600 grit and gradually increase to 2000 grit or higher, using polishing compound.
Sanding Wood (Hardwood, Models)
Use 120-180 grit for rough leveling;
240-400 grit for fine sanding;
600 grit or higher for sanding before or between painting processes.
Usage tips: Soak thoroughly, rinse frequently with water, use with a grinding block, and apply gentle pressure.
