Sanding Finishes (The Most Common Use):
Woodworking: Leveling and polishing polyurethane, lacquer, varnish, and shellac between coats ("de-nibbing") and for the final finish. Using water lubricates the surface, prevents dust, and results in a glass-like smoothness.
